Understanding Your Bill
To help you understand your bill more easily, NAED has created a
sample statement that explains what you will see on every bill.
Our billing format provides detailed information about your energy
consumption and the cost of that energy.

Calculating Your Bill
To calculate your NAED bill, choose the rate you use, fill in the figures that
apply to you and follow the sample here.
500 kilowatt-hours of monthly use: Rate A-1 (Residential)
1. Calculate Delivery Charges:
Customer Charge $5.00
Distribution Charge 0.027920 x 500 = 13.96
Transmission Charge 0.004970 x 500 = 2.49
Generation Charge 0.034930 x 500 = 17.47
2. Calculate Supplier Services:
Energy Charge 0.037080 x 500 = 18.54
3. Add charges together:
Total Electric Charges $ 57.46
500 kilowatt-hours of monthly use: Rate A-5 (Residential
Assistance)
1. Calculate Delivery Charges:
Customer Charge $3.25
Distribution Charge 0.004190 x 500 = 2.10
Transmission Charge 0.004970 x 500 = 2.49

Paying Your Bill
NAED offers its customers several different payment options:

US Mail With the self-addressed envelope that comes
with your bill. Check or money order should be payable to North
Attleborough
Electric
Department (NAED); write your account number on your check.
Never send cash by mail. When paying without your bill payment
stub, send
your payment directly to NAED, 275 Landry Avenue, North Attleborough,
MA 02760-3501.

E-Services NAED’s secured E-Services enables
both bill payment and account review. Customers may pay bills
using
either Visa or MasterCard, and review details of their electric
account records.

In Person During regular business hours at
our Operations Center located at 275 Landry Avenue, North Attleborough.
Cash,
check
or credit cards are accepted.

Drop Box Anytime day or night in the Drop Box conveniently
located to the left of the front door at the NAED Operations
Center.

By Telephone At 508.643.6300 during regular
business hours. Choose to use your VISA, MasterCard or Discover
Card
for bill payments.

Power Pay A free service to make bill-paying easier.
Upon your one-time authorization, NAED will withdraw money electronically
each
month from your checking or savings account on a pre-selected day.
The transaction will show on your next bank statement. Call Customer
Service to enroll.

Online Through your banking system. When you enter the
payment information, use this address: NAED Operations Center,

Landry Avenue, North
Attleborough, MA 02760-3501.
If you prefer to pay a fixed amount
for your electric service every month, consider NAED's Special
Payment Plan. With this plan your payment is based on
the average of your electric use during the previous six months.
Usage
is reviewed
twice annually and any necessary adjustments are made every six
months. Call Customer Service for more information and a calculation
of your
monthly average.

Resident
Assistance Electric Rate Application

North Attleborough Electric Department recognizes your rights against
the termination of your electric service and follows the regulations
of the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Energy
(DTE) in regard to this issue. More information is available upon
