Compact Fluorescent Bulbs
NAED recommends compact fluorescent bulbs because these bulbs are
earth friendly, typically lasting several times longer than incandescent
light bulbs. What does this mean to our environment? Less
waste in landfills from used light bulbs and packaging
materials; fewer resources consumed to provide
electricity for higher wattage light bulbs; and less time
spent buying light bulbs and replacing them in hard to
reach places.
The more you use your bulbs, the more you'll save! How much you
save depends on the difference in wattage between the light bulbs
you are currently using and the ones you replace them with, and
how often you use the bulb.
